Just another fantastic day today. The weather was awesome and I'm really hopeful that Spring is officially here. I decided to venture back out to Broad Meadow Brook (Mass Audubon, Worcester). I was there about a month back, but there was still a lot of snow on the ground.
All the snow was no gone and it was really easy to get around.
Near the entrance there is a small butterfly garden. It's not blooming yet, but should be soon.
Just at the beginning of the trail you see a bird watching station. Its small and has these sliding doors that you can peak through to watch the birds feeding. On the other side they have some photos of some of the different species that are common to this area.
Walking around further I admire the scene above with the nice blue skies. In a few weeks these trees will be in bloom.
Walking along further I'm in search for new Spring life. I've always appreciated the small details in nature.
Luckily the various paths are color coded so its easy to find your way.
I passed a couple brooks on my walk.
I spotted this on the shore line and I had to get closer to photograph it. Spring is definitely here!
We're only a few days in with the nicer weather, but I really hope it continues. Massachusetts really has so much to offer in the way of parks, conservation areas, gardens, and hiking opportunities. Its just that much better when things start to bloom.
I'm making it a point to come back again in another month or two.
Thanks for following.
