I've been going to the Tower Hill Botanic Garden for several years now. I found it when I started really getting into my first "better than the average point and shoot" a few years ago. If you've never been, you have to check it out.
There are gardens all over the place and often have flower shows that bring people from all over the Northeast.
It is a great place for kids as well as they can run around or partake in a scavenger hunt or some arts and crafts.
They also offer a variety of classes from gardening, to painting and even photography.
It is a highly sought out location for engagement sessions and weddings a like.
If you visited a few years ago it has changed a lot. They added another hall and a water fountain area as well.
There is usually some sort of exhibit to enjoy indoors as well as trails around the perimeter.
During the summer there are craft fairs, petting zoos and plenty of exhibits.
And, if you decide to stay they have a fantastic in-house restaurant. Menus are always delicious and very relaxing with indoors and outdoor seating.
