After the long lay over in San Fran I was ready to hop on the plane again. This connecting flight would take me to San Luis Opispo, where the wedding would take place. It was on this flight that everything became real to me. I'm not only on a short vacation, but I'm going to witness and document my really good friend's wedding! Since I can't really sleep on planes at this point I was up for around 24 hrs. And yes, I was exhausted, but happy.
My friend picked me up from the airport and we headed home for a quick bite and then off to bed. I stayed with my dad, and his parents in a really nice condo.
We got up the next day, ate some breakfast and decided to head out and walk around a bit. First stop Pismo Beach!
That's what you call beach front property. You have a lawn and ya, a beach!
We didn't realize it until later on, but it seems like there is fog everyday due to the ocean air which goes away just after noon. Still, the beach was beautiful.
A portion of the boardwalk looked like this. Really nice!
This is a photo taken from the pier looking back towards the boardwalk area.
This is a look up the beach on the other side. Is it just me or is it just impossible to take a bad photo of this beach!
This is a view down the pier.
We passed several people fishing on this pier. Seems to be pretty popular. And with this weather and scenery who could complain?
This is right across from the little shop on the pier. Pretty cool.
This is one last look up the beach before we headed off. Pismo Beach is awesome!
So we headed back to enjoy some lunch and then to the rehearsal. Then we enjoyed a fun family cookout. Good times! And we all tried to get a good night's sleep as the big day was approaching. Stay tuned for part III - Eric and Maria's California Wedding!!
