I headed out to Connecticut this past weekend to see my friend Celina and her family. Her son Isaiah was was getting Baptised.
Celina and I went to college together in Massachusetts. After college we all hung out and slowly each of us started to settle down. Celina got married and moved to Connecticut. Although I don't see her as often now we have stayed in touch. She is a genuinely nice person and has a wonderful family. So of course when she contacted me to photograph her son's Baptism I didn't hesitate one bit.
I drove up in the morning through part of Connecticut and got to enjoy the best Fall in New England has to offer. We met at St. Peter's Church and continued with some festivities at her home.
Congratulations baby Isaiah!
About a year ago I met Kristine and Marcus to talk about their wedding. I knew immediately how much they cared about each other and that they were the perfect match. Throughout the year we stayed in touch via Facebook and e-mail.
As summer ended the anticipation really started to build up. All the final arrangements were going on and I made sure we were all on the same page to make their day as easy as possible.
Finally, the big day arrived and the weather was perfect, and the couple looked great!
I met them at Lake Pearl in Wrentham for some getting ready photos and the day unfolded from there. It was a joy photographing the wedding, witnessing many funny moments and some true dancing machines as well!
Congratulations Kristine and Marcus!!
I woke up this morning knowing I wanted to head out somewhere, but as soon as I saw that it was raining I knew my options were limited. Then, I remembered that I hadn't made a trip to Tower Hill in quite a while. I looked up their website: Tower Hill Botanic Garden website and noticed they had some fun activities going on this weekend.
They were having things like apple tasting, a couple exhibits, a vegetable garden tour as well as a vendor fair. So, I grab my camera and made my way over there. I also wanted to make sure I got at least one photo of the fall colors. For those of you in much warmer climates it truly is very impressive when all the leafs start to change.
By the way, don't be thrown off by the title. Tower Hill is a fantastic place to visit year round! There is always a lot to see and do there.
Of course I came for the apple tasting. I love fruit!
I then walked around to see what the local vendors were showing. I picked up some honey sticks which I chewed on as I explored some more.
And here's the tree I promised.
All photos taken with the Fuji X-T1 and 60mm 2.4 macro, 35mm 1.4
Yesterday morning I was running out of my house and I saw a lone leaf on one of my bushes. With the light rain falling I knew I had to go and grab my camera and capture this 'hint of Fall'. The Fall is so pretty in New England. I'll be sure to share a few photos in the upcoming weeks of how awesome it really is.
