I headed out to Connecticut this past weekend to see my friend Celina and her family. Her son Isaiah was was getting Baptised.
Celina and I went to college together in Massachusetts. After college we all hung out and slowly each of us started to settle down. Celina got married and moved to Connecticut. Although I don't see her as often now we have stayed in touch. She is a genuinely nice person and has a wonderful family. So of course when she contacted me to photograph her son's Baptism I didn't hesitate one bit.
I drove up in the morning through part of Connecticut and got to enjoy the best Fall in New England has to offer. We met at St. Peter's Church and continued with some festivities at her home.
Congratulations baby Isaiah!
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Cathy and Fran's wedding at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston, MA.
They couldn't have picked a nicer day. We had clear skies, it was not too hot and we were able to enjoy a fantastic outdoor wedding. We all gathered outside awaiting the couple to make their grand entrance.
Congratulations Cathy and Fran!
This past week I took a trip to California to attend one of my really good friend's wedding. But, more than that, I was also the hired photographer. I've known Eric since I was a little guy running around playing soccer in the Maryland area. After only a few practices our families became close. The power of soccer.
We've remained friends even though I headed off to college in the Northeast and he remained in Maryland. Whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to visit with him and his family and we always have a great time.
So, when I got the news that he was getting married soon and wanted to see if I would be the photographer I didn't hesitate at all. I've only been to California a couple times before, but had never been to the San Luis Obispo area. Being an explorer by nature that also really intrigued me. We sorted everything out and before I knew it I was getting packed and ready to make my journey.
When I saw my friend and his family it felt like I hadn't seen them in ages and like I had come home of sorts. So as the day approached I had a chance to admire some of the scenery there and feel the California vibe. The day prior to the wedding I went to the rehearsal and was able to scope out some areas that would be nice and just get a sense of how things might go.
Then, the day arrived..
And that is where I begin the story of their wedding day:
And they danced the night away as husband and wife!!
A couple days ago I headed out to Peabody to photograph the Baptism of baby C. The intimate Baptism was held at St. Adelaide's Parish. Close family and friends gathered to enjoy one of the very first, but very important, milestones in baby C's life.
The Baptism was held without a service so we were able to enjoy the parish to ourselves. So as you can guess we all got the best seats in the house.
Congratulations Baby C!!
