This past week I headed back home to visit my dad. He lives in the DC area and although he often comes to visit me up north I felt I was long overdue to visit him. My gf Jenny and I headed down there, her first trip there in a very long time. We got lucky with the weather the first couple days, but the next were pretty cold. Nonetheless, we powered on and explored quite a bit.
By the end of the trip we both agreed to visit again soon as there were tons of sights still to see. I also saw this as an opportunity to take some photos. I didn't take a ton, but a few here and there. It definitely re-energized me from the winter blues and makes me want to explore locally with my camera.
As I write this we have about 8 inches of snow on the ground and probably another 6-8 on the way. But, that's New England for you. One day it's 55 and sunny and the next you have to dust off your snow shovel. No matter, always happy to post some photos on here. I know I've been a tad distracted this winter and haven't posted much. I started another blog and a youtube channel on some of my interests and that's also kept me quite busy in the non-wedding season.
I'll be posting on here more regularly as the weather improves and can't wait for all the photo sessions and weddings I have lined up for this year.
But, I'm getting off topic. I'd like to share some photos from my trip and possibly a couple from a previous trip that I never posted.
These next ones are from my recent trip to DC.
Recognize any of these places?

To continue the previous post I want to include some color photos I took on my walk around Boston earlier today. I really enjoyed the color produced by the camera and I got a variety of photos as well. Please enjoy a few photos from my walk.

Earlier today I headed into Boston with a friend of mine to give our Fuji cameras a good work out and to get some fresh air. Nothing like heading into the big city. The weather turned out great, plenty of sun and we enjoyed a variety of aromas throughout our walk. We started in China town and then walked around the commons. We then made it back to get some asian cuisine. These are a few of the black and whites from the trip. Stay tuned for a follow up post with some color photos of our photo walk.

Being a photographer is great because, some of us, have our photos organized well and can go back and view them easily. I've been walking around MA lately and taking photos, but its easy to see the difference between MA and Cali.
So, while reviewing some of my other photos I realized that I hadn't posted any photos from our brief stop at Santa Barbara.
There was a skate park along side the boardwalk. I tried to shoot from the hip on this one.
