Today I got in my new set of business cards.
After some research I decided to order from Moo.com. I had heard some great things about them and their product introductory videos had me intrigued. A few days ago I visited their website, looked around and also googled some of their online samples. They are most famous for the ability of printing different images on the back of their cards. So, this means that you could order a set of 50 cards and each could have a different photo or information on the back.
That is simply amazing as you could design a different card back for each genre that you cover. What an amazing idea!
And, they went above and beyond that by rolling out their Luxe line-up. These are fantastic as they actually use several pieces of paper and bind them together to be able to a) increase the thickness of the card for durability and quality and b) you can insert a bit of color in-between the front and back of the card. For this I really had to see their video to really 'see' what they were talking about.
Given the solid reviews of their products I decided to order a set for myself. I wanted to simplify my business card and roll out a more refined look for 2014 that also helped to promote my new "Classic" look.
So I designed the front and back of my card (I kept all the backs the same on this order) and chose black as the edge color and waited.
Today I received my order even though I was told it'd come in on Monday. I was very pleased by that!
Please enjoy a few photos I took.
I do highly recommend these cards when you want something a little thicker and that will really stand out from the rest of the cards out there.
Photo above: Once I opened the packaging box I found this box inside. It is pure white with a blue satin band and a seal on top. Very classy! Once you remove the satin band you can open the box by lifting the front side which is held in place with a magnet. So no worries ripping anything or having to cut anything to open it.
This is a photo of the box open and one of my cards propped up. The exterior and interior of the box are of a very nice finish and I see no reason to ever get rid of this box. From the opening in the front you can see the black edging on all of the cards. Great design.
This photo is a stack of my cards outside of the box. They are much thicker than my other business cards. These are very soft to the touch like high grade paper should feel like.
This is a photo of the back of the card. I wanted to keep it really simple and just put my url, my phone number and my e-mail. I also left a lot of white space as this paper is very good to write on. Ever needed to jot down a note for a potential client and couldn't write on your card? No problem here.
