Earlier today I headed out with Mike again to do a photo walk. As you might recall last week we headed into Boston. This week we decided to stay more local as once again the temperature was very low.
We drove around a little and then decided to get some food at Hot Dog Annie's. If you're from the area I'm sure you have heard of Hot Dog Annie's. Its a Worcester county landmark and many of us recall growing up and stopping by to be treated to some inexpensive, but great tasting hot dogs. I recall visiting several times growing up and during my college years as well. Its located in Leicester near the high school and you'll always find cars in the parking lot. If you're in the neighborhood make sure to stop in and try from their variety of hot dogs.
That's the very visible sign you'll see from the main rd. And this is a photo of the building. As you can see its not very big.
Basically you walk in and pick out what you want from the menu and are served at a counter. The service is always good and quick. There's Mike picking up some food. Outside they have a sitting area with Wifi which is neat. It was just too cold to eat out there so we ate in the car.
I only got two hotdogs, but as you can see their trays fit almost 6 hotdogs in case you're hungry.
Next we headed back into Worcester and visited a place called Sweet. I've lived here many years and had never heard of this place. Guess I'm out of the loop. Apparently they had moved from another location and are now on Shrewsbury St. Shrewsbury St. is home to many restaurants, bars, diners and coffee shops.
Sweet is a dessert bar offering all kinds of desserts with a focus on cupcakes/cakes. As soon as I walked in I knew it was going to be a treat, no pun intended. They had a full bar, dining area and even a function area upstairs. Very nice!
I'm not a huge sweets guy, but I had to try one of their cupcakes.
They even put it in this small box. Very nice. And, yes, it taste as good as it looks.
