Today I headed to Best Buy in Framingham to pick up the Fuji 23mm F2 WR. This lens came out last year and it got great reviews.
I use another 23mm from Fuji, the 1.4 version for weddings and other things, but this new version intrigued me. It's not as large, is weather sealed, and costs a lot less. Also, from my readings I found that its supposed to be much faster to autofocus.
So, I headed there with my fiance, and then we headed into downtown Framingham to take some pics.
Its the middle of January so the streets aren't too busy with people, but I was able to snap off a few pics before heading back home. I'll try post a more thorough review in a few weeks when I have some more experience with the lens in a variety of settings.
Please check out some pics. All were taken at F8 on my Fuji X-T1. Do you use this lens?
I enjoyed using the lens today and it is definitely smaller. Even the hood is tiny. There is a new 35mm f2 lens as well that's on my radar, but that's another story.
I'll be using this lens going forward for all my outings as its small, has a silent auto focus and is definitely sharp. Pumped for some more adventures with the lens.
Happy New Year everyone from Tomas Haran Photography.
2018 is going to be a great year. I'm already looking at getting a new camera or lens. I'm still trying to decide. I love my gear, but sometimes you need to add something to your kit. I'm looking to do more events and photography sessions. I did some headshots near the end of the year and I'm anxious to do more of them.
I worked again with some of my clients this past year and I'd like to continue working with them.
I've also decided to do more photography for me. I want to explore more, photograph more and really explore the world around me. Perhaps I can get my fiancé to come along with me on these journeys. So excited to make her my wife in the late fall this year!!
So, you can see I'm very hopeful and excited for this year.
Time to take some more pics!! Enjoy your new year!!
2017 is almost over, but it's been fun so far.
The weddings were fun, the photo sessions were fun and I re-connected with a photography friend.
This year I learned a lot about my photography, why I do it, and what I hope for in the future. It really is about the photographer and their desire to take photos and get better. At times it seems like you're photographing for other people, but it really is for yourself. Seeing things through different perspectives and exploring the photography world is what its all about.
My goal in 2018 is to continue to develop my work, work on some personal projects and to add some more variety to what I do. I want to explore more places with my camera and meet new people.
Also, I'll be having my own wedding this year which I'm super excited about. Its been a long time coming, but I found my other half and I couldn't be happier.
I think big things will happen in 2018 and I'm hopeful that my photography will grow as well.
Happy Holidays everyone from Tomas Haran Photography!!
Recently I had the privilege of photographing Devon and Ryan's fantastic wedding at the White Room.
I met them about 6 months ago to do their engagement photos, which you can see a couple posts back.
They are such a wonderful couple, so myself and my second photographer were excited for the big day. We started with some getting ready photos and then headed over to St. Johns for the wedding ceremony. Although the day was cloudy it turned out great!
The afternoon celebration continued on at The White Room in Worcester, MA. I really liked their theme and the setup of the venue.
Please enjoy some photos of their big day!!
